Educational Talks 

With a wide range of educational talks available from KS2 to KS5. The educational talks are approximately 45 minutes in duration, with time available at the end for questions. There are free resources available to download online which can be used to enhance your class visit. With 18 talks to choose from, subjects include; Mathematics for KS2 and KS3, Geography, History, Travel and Tourism, Business Studies, Design and Technology, The Science of Rollercoasters, ICT, Customer Service, Road Safety for KS1 and KS2 and Science and Citizenship: Snacks, Shelter and Safety for KS1 and KS2. ‘New for 2018 at the Alton Towers Resort, an interactive workshop exploring the amazing wooden construction of our new rollercoaster experience, ‘Wicker Man’, and an immersive talk on the psychology of a ride experience unlike any other.

IWM North

Explore the unique coverage of conflicts for those living in Britain and the Commonwealth during the First World War, right up to present day. Expand on what you’ve studied in class and visit The Picture Show; this permanent exhibition uses visuals to bring people lives during the war to life. The museum offers Learning Sessions for school groups to enable students to deepen their understanding of the life changing situations thousands of Britons faced.

Museum of Science and Industry, Manchester

Explore ideas that changed the world at the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester. This national museum is dedicated to inspiring and educating visitors on the changes to industry from past to the present. Based in the heart of Manchester, the world’s first industrial city, and built on the site of the oldest surviving passenger train; the museum of alive with innovating discoveries in both science and technology. The museum offers exciting workshops for early years, through to Key Stages 1-3.
