Cliffs of Moher

The Cliffs of Moher are the most visited natural attraction of Ireland. The spectacular view attracts as many as one million visitors annually. The highest point of the Cliffs of Moher is 214 mt high. The cliffs stretch eight km along the Atlantic Ocean and the western seacoast of Co. Clare.

From the cliffs you can see the Aran Islands, Galway Bay, the Twelve Pins, the Maum Turk Mountains in Connemara and in the south Loop Head.  The name Cliffs of Moher is derived from the ruins of the fortress Mothar, which was built during the Napoleonic wars has been destroyed to make room for a signal tower

Burren Visitor Centre

Ireland’s first Interpretative Centre is the essential introduction to this world-famous UNESCO Geopark, and to thousands of years of history reflected in ancient tombs, forts, castles and distinctively natural farming practices.

Clare, expert guides will introduce your pupils to the science and wonder of the dramatic underworld of this amazing landscape . The cave tour itself covers 1.2 km ensuring that learning is combined with exercise! Aillwee is one of the most ancient caves in the Burren and perhaps in Ireland.
