What We Do

There's no substitute for being there… that's why, for over 16 years, NST Travel Group has been creating school trips which educate, inspire and enable children to develop a sense of independence, whilst learning in a fun and exciting way.

From a one-day school trip to London’s West End, to an eight-day study tour of China, we have been helping teachers bring the curriculum to life for their pupils. That’s why so many groups choose to travel with us each year.

NST people

Our people are the life blood of our organisation – it’s their ideas, commitment, knowledge and enthusiasm that helps us deliver market leading school visit experiences to our customers time and time again.

Each NST individual brings something unique to our business – themselves! Whether it’s their travel industry experience, their passion for delivering exceptional customer service, or their ability to create innovative solutions and ‘think big’, we aim to encourage all our team members to use and develop their talents to be the best they can be.

Our Company Values of Customer First, Respect, Learning, Teamwork, Fun and Action have been developed by our people to define who we are and how we all contribute to making NST a great place to work.

Why Work for NST?

Being a market leader, there is no such thing as second best. That’s why we aim to offer our people a first rate pay and benefits package that’s not only locally competitive, but also recognises the contribution that they each bring to our success.

Our benefits package typically includes;

  • A competitive base salary
  • Individual and company performance related incentive schemes
  • Generous annual leave entitlements including bank holidays
  • Company contributory pension schemes
  • Free parking on site
  • Voluntary benefits including cycle to work schemes
  • Flexible working opportunities
  • Staff discounts on Holidaybreak Group and associated products

But that’s not all – With Learning as one of our Company Values, we also want to ensure our people grow and develop with us. Therefore, we provide a range of training opportunities, including in-house and external training courses and workshops, day-to-day coaching and a performance review process including Personal Development Plans to make this happen. We also provide a Further Education sponsorship scheme to enable our people to gain the qualifications that will support them in their career with us.

Familiarisation Trips & Inspection Visits

We also ensure our entire customer-facing teams, and most of our commercial department team members, have the opportunity to see our school visits through our customers’ eyes, by giving them the opportunity to experience at least one NST school trip for themselves. We see this is an important part of supporting our people to develop the knowledge and experience which can make our teams ‘best in class’ when servicing our teachers.
