Christmas Markets tours to Germany

Aachen Christmas Market

There is an enormous choice between original, stylish and precious goods. Aachen’s Christmas Market has become an absolute "must" for all groups.

Berlin Christmas Market

The Berlin Christmas markets are well-known for their metropolis flair. They attract young German artists, musicians and writers, which gives them an edgier, more modern feel than others in Germany. While traditional gifts and Christmas decorations can also be found here, the fair is a treasure-trove of unique jewellery, decorations and artwork made by some of the most innovative artists around. In the expanse between the church and the Europa Centre, the romantic huts of the fair stand in stark contrast to the modern architecture of the city surroundings.

Bonn Christmas Market

The beautiful old town hall is transformed into an enormous Advent calendar, with one more window being lit up each day. There are Christmas concerts and a daily programme of events to enjoy

Cologne Christmas Market

Cologne has over 10 different markets. The oldest Christmas market is held on the ‘Neumarkt’ in the city centre and the largest is the ‘Alter Markt’ in front of Cologne’s town hall. There are so many different things to see, you will be spoiled for choice.

Koblenz Christmas Market

More than 100 wooden stands will be located in the historic district of Koblenz. On offer will be an extensive range of arts and crafts, as well as Christmas decorations and a huge selection of gift articles for the holiday table. In addition there will be music and concerts throughout the season.

Munich Christmas Market

Munich has been hosting Christmas markets for as long as it has been brewing beer! The modern markets are hosted in the city’s bustling Marienplatz where baked apples, roasted almonds and other Bavarian delicacies, including Nürnbergen Lebkuchen, are standard fayre. Other delicious items to be found at the market are fruit bread, roasted chestnuts, deep-fried cakes, potato pancakes and Glühwein. Just inside the City Hall’s courtyard, off Marienplatz, a Christmas post office is set up to stamp letters and postcards with a special “Christkindl” marking and Christmas stamps.

Rudesheim Christmas Market

Rüdesheim brings a distinctly festive feel to the romantic old quarter and its popular Drosselgasse lane, as 120 stalls representing 12 countries gather to present Christmas customs and traditions from around the world.
